REFLECTION QUESTIONWaterWhat would a sustainable water future in your region look like? What needs to change?
Christopher Allen 4/30/2022 3:09 PMA sustainable water future in my region would look like extreme reduction of water waste. Grey water being recycled for use where it is needed. My region is very rainy. Water capture from rain to be used in residential areas. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodWhy do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our planet and other people?
Christopher Allen 4/30/2022 3:07 PMGrowing meat is expensive. People in richer countries have the luxury because they have the wealth to grow that meat. Lots of the planet's resources are used to grow meat to eat. With the current way things are done, lots of damage is being done, negatively affecting the planet and other people. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWasteWhat do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reusable one with you or aren't allowed to use the one you brought? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to create a successful habit of not using plastic bags?
Christopher Allen 1/20/2022 10:33 PMThis happens to me a lot because I easily forget to take the bag to the car from my apartment or from my car into the grocery store. I either run to the car real quick or I just dont use any bags and throw it in the trunk and let God sort out what makes it to my apartment in 1 piece. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealthWhat single-use items (e.g. straws, coffee cups, vegetable bags, plastic bags) do you regularly use? What could be substituted instead?
Christopher Allen 1/19/2022 8:29 PMMetal straw can be used in place of plastic.-

REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodAn average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four in the US spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Does this surprise you? Where would you rather use this money?
Christopher Allen 1/18/2022 9:41 PMThis doesnt surprise me. I understand the struggle all too well about meal prepping and then getting sick of the food at the end of the week and throwing it out. I would rather spend the money on positive investments. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealthBefore you started this challenge, did you think you were 'addicted' to sugar? How do you feel now?
Christopher Allen 1/17/2022 5:10 AMI knew I was addicted to sugar before I started this challenge. I have a big sweet tooth. This is one of the harder ones for me because I feel like an addict fighting withdrawals. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealthHow can you incorporate other personal values (like quality time with friends or spending time in nature) into your exercise routine?
Christopher Allen 1/17/2022 5:08 AMSundays are my ultimate frisbee days. There is a lot of social interaction and team building in this sport so this gets focused on organically.
