REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Building Resilience Buy From a Farmers MarketWhat is one food choice that you make, or could make, that would do more good and less harm?
Parris Allen 7/25/2021 6:23 PMFruits and Vegetables! That has to be the best food choice for not only me but my 2 year old daughter who is learning about the foods that are good for her. Everyone should definitely eat more fruits and vegetables! we even started planting our own in our backyard which has been nothing less than amazing to experience and watch her experience as well.-
Moreak Gomez-Diaz 7/25/2021 9:34 PMHi Parris, its awesome that you are looking out for your Childs health. The typical American diet sure could use more vegetables. Have you considered looking at the above question form an environmental impact stance instead of dietary?

REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Use Reusable BagsWhat do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reusable one with you or aren't allowed to use the one you brought? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to create a successful habit of not using plastic bags?
Parris Allen 7/18/2021 11:42 PMI actually decided to buy a reusable bag out of the store instead of utilizing the plastic bags that the stores have to offer. The local grocery stores have also had reusable bags as of lately but those are made of some type of plastic as well. If all else fails I'll put all my items in the cart and i'll just take the items without any bag. A successful habit I would put into place is always having reusable bags for all customers and permanately taking away plastics.-
Daniela Galvez Cardenas 7/23/2021 11:46 AMHi Parris! I started to also use reusable bags more often now to help our environment. Even though sometimes I do forget, I do the same as you, I put my items in my cart. I have recently been leaving my reusable bags in my truck so that whenever I go to the store with or without planning it, I have reusable bags with me.

REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Use a Reusable Water BottleWhile water bottles are needed for health and safety in certain places, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. What are the barriers to you using reusable bottles and tap water instead of bottled water? How could you make this a permanent habit?
Parris Allen 7/18/2021 11:20 PMThis habit could be permanent by me simply using a reusable bottle instead of using plastic bottles. I actually went out and bought myself a water bottle so that I no longer will go out and buy water bottles just for the convienence of myself.-
Danell Morales 7/21/2021 12:08 AMHi Parris,
That is the best way to go. I also use a reusable bottle instead of plastic. I been doing that for a while for multiple reasons it is bad for our planet, it is harmful to marine life, the toxins inside the bottle leaks into the bottle of water we drink, and the list goes on. I feel like if everyone could start getting on board with this it will help our ecosystem.
