Riley's actions
Energy
Power Down the Computer
I will power down my computer and monitor when not using it for more than 2 hours, saving up to (1.1) lbs of CO2 each day that I do this.
Water
5-Minute Showers
I will save up to 20 gallons (75 L) of water each day by taking 5-minute showers.
Health
Healthy Sleep
Effectively working for sustainability requires self care! I will commit to getting 60 more minute(s) of sleep each night to achieve at least 7 hours per night.
Transportation
Walk Instead
I will walk 5 mile(s) each day instead of driving and avoid sending up to (___) lbs of CO2 into Earth's atmosphere.

Riley Allen (Salem) 3/10/2022 6:19 AMSince I'm still on campus for break, I chose to walk to the Colonial Coffee Shop for breakfast and take a small walk around town instead of driving. -
Riley Allen (Salem) 3/07/2022 8:25 AMI'm looking forward to finding more affordable and easy ways to decrease some of my carbon input. Might anyone have any suggestions? -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Healthy SleepConsider how many hours of sleep you get now. How would you like to shift your sleep patterns? What are you finding works for you to be successful in this action?
Riley Allen (Salem) 3/03/2022 9:51 AMI would like to shift my sleeping pattern towards getting to sleep and waking up earlier. This way I will feel more in tune with the natural day and less groggy in the morning and at night time.-
lilli greene (CHO) 3/03/2022 1:22 PMI would try for one day to not drink caffeine so you can be tired enough to go to sleep around 12-2 am and do that for a few days till maybe you can get back to normal -
Conner Ney 3/03/2022 12:26 PMI feel like if I have morning classes, I would try to go to sleep earlier than usual by staying up and then try to fall asleep around 8 or 9 pm. The only problem being would be that I'd wake up around 11 pm or even very early in the morning, so what I typically try to do is stay up until around 1 or 3 am and then wake up around 9:30 or 10 am. It's a struggle most times, but that's just how it works for insomniacs like me.
