REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Enjoy the Sunrise/SunsetFather Thomas Berry says, "... our primary purpose is celebration. Celebration of the dawn and the sunset and the different seasons of the year is a religious ritual, a way in which humans can establish their integral relationship with the universe, with the planet Earth." What is your response to Berry's assertion?
Abby Anderson 11/12/2021 7:17 AMI have to agree with Berry because we go through seasonal changes every year for a reason. We experience something different due to where we live, but no matter where you are located you are given the chance to watch the sunrise and set each day. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportation Drive LessHow has your access to various kinds of transportation throughout your life influenced your current attitudes about transportation and your transportation behavior?
Abby Anderson 11/08/2021 5:21 PMI have been fortunate enough to always have access to my own car since I turned 16. Although as a child I relied on the bus and other neighbors to take me to and from school. This has always made me thankful for being able to have my own hybrid vehicle. Although it has made me appreciate the public transportation system and people who carpool because I've been through those times before as well. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEnergy Switch to Cold WaterWhat do you plan to do with the money you save from making more energy efficient choices?
Abby Anderson 11/06/2021 5:48 PMI plan to save the money that I am saving on making energy efficient choices. I will use this later on down the road for further expenses like education, house payments, and other expenses. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunity Help OthersIn your opinion, how do social inequalities diminish a strong sense of community?
Abby Anderson 11/01/2021 4:51 PMAn example of inequality is gentrification. When wealthy people move into lower-income towns and raise the rent, property taxes, and price of living. This forces the lower-income families to move out of town and find an alternative.-

REFLECTION QUESTIONWater 5-Minute ShowersName some of the human activities impacting the health of water systems, both locally (your watershed) and globally (freshwater and oceans). What can you do to improve the health of water systems?
Abby Anderson 11/01/2021 4:40 PMSome causes of dirtying our water are farming, sewage, and oil spills. While some of these are general things that happen in everyday life, we can limit our use of flushing the toilet and lower the use of chemicals and pesticides on our crops. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity De-Clutter My Home or Dorm RoomHow can you prevent yourself from accumulating more unnecessary things in the future?
Abby Anderson 11/01/2021 4:35 PMOne way that I prevent myself from accumulating unnecessary things is by saving my money for larger purchases. I change my mindset and look towards further goals rather than a pair of shoes or a new bookshelf that I will more than likely get rid of within a year. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth HappinessHow does/can practicing gratitude keep you centered and motivated to work for a better world?
Abby Anderson 11/01/2021 4:27 PMWhen practicing gratitude, it is a way to reflect on yourself and the ones you surround yourself with. By doing that and having a strong knowledge of what is around you will keep you humble in terms of knowing what it is like to make others feel appreciated. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Exercise DailyHow can you incorporate other personal values (like quality time with friends or spending time in nature) into your exercise routine?
Abby Anderson 11/01/2021 4:21 PMOne way that I can incorporate other personal values into my workout routine is by inviting a friend to come with me. Usually, I find the time that works best for to me although having a friend come along does make it more fun.-
Janet Beach Davis 11/08/2021 10:17 AMThere are several people who are adding exercise for this challenge. We need a team!
