Today was really a challenge all together because someone noticed I was eating differently and saw that I have been using my reusable cup more. I told her my reasoning of trying to be sustainable and she was confused. She asked me what Is the point of doing something so little for a problem so big. It gave me an opportunity to share what I have learned In a friendly matter and allowed her to get some questions answered. She ended up being really supportive at the end which was cool!

Why do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our planet and other people?

People in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places because they don't rely on the animal as much. They can easily buy another cow or pig while people in lower income areas, rely on that animal to help maintain crops, for eggs, milk etc. They cant easily go get another animal. The way we affect the planet buy eating meat is messing with the ecosystem. Every animal, even a rabbit has some sort of affect on the ecosystem so if we take that away at a large cost, we can majorly mess up the flow of energy.
