REFLECTION QUESTIONEnergy Turn it offHow is electricity generated where you live? How does it impact the environment, animals, and humans?
Chris Betler (Slaysman) 3/17/2022 6:02 AMAround be there are a lot of these big electrical poles. I feel like although there is a ton of them taking up space, there isn't a large negative impact they have. For example I see birds in nests up there and just sitting on the lines. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWater 5-Minute ShowersName some of the human activities impacting the health of water systems, both locally (your watershed) and globally (freshwater and oceans). What can you do to improve the health of water systems?
-
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Use a Reusable Water BottleWhile water bottles are needed for health and safety in certain places, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. What are the barriers to you using reusable bottles and tap water instead of bottled water? How could you make this a permanent habit?
Chris Betler (Slaysman) 3/05/2022 3:40 PMit is supper efficient to just grab a plastic bottle and go but the habit defiantly can be broken. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Use Reusable BagsWhat do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reusable one with you or aren't allowed to use the one you brought? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to create a successful habit of not using plastic bags?
Chris Betler (Slaysman) 3/05/2022 3:39 PMI normally just carry with hands or put it in a backpack if I can. You could make more small trips during a week so you can carry stuff by hand -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Whole Food LifestyleMichael Pollan states that “it is better to pay the grocer (our edit: or the farmer!) than the doctor.” What are your thoughts on this assertion?
Chris Betler (Slaysman) 3/05/2022 3:38 PMI like it because it means if you eat goods food you won't nee to go to the doctor
