Public transportation is something that needs to be talked about more but its so difficult with our generation because we grew up with our families having cars of their own if possible and not thinking about the person at the traffic light next to us in the bus having to schedule their day around the bus schedule. Our generation is so use to just having our own private transportation that we don't take into consideration the struggle it is for having to wake up on time because if you miss your regular time for public transportation your whole day is upside down.

I used to ride the bus, because I'm fairly close to school, and it's free for us. And that means no window scraping in the winter. I enjoyed keeping a schedule that worked with the bus. I knew when I had to get up, be someplace, end my day... It really made me more organized. Then they altered all the bus routes, and now to catch a bus, I end up walking halfway to school. So now I'm a disorganized mess.

Sunday was a good balanced day with only 3h of school and 2h for work. (Should've been more for work but I slept through 2 of my meetings).

So, YES I do feel guilty and my whole Sunday was slow and I didn't get ANYTHING done but Saturday night my partner stopped gaming, he came into my office closed my laptop (thank goodness for auto save) and he said we are going to bed, the reason this was strange is because it was 9:05 pm this NEVER happens because life is just too crazy. I woke up Sunday morning at 10:00 am it felt amazing.

At my 12:30 conference call today we discussed transportation for our company employs and I suggested instead of giving the developers trucks we can look into electric cars . Yes its more expensive in the immediate but long term it'll save the company a lot. In the small towns we have projects public transportation is not always possible but when our developer from the current project come to town he always brings his bicycle to hope around town.

I think the way our development team leaded explained it was that, in the long run they want all employs to be able to leave a smaller footprint, for now they compensate employs that have electric cars.

How was your suggestion received? Do you think they will consider it?
