I would like to shift my sleep patterns by allowing myself to actually stay asleep when I'm supposed to, but it is incredibly hard considering the fact that there are constant interruptions beyond my control occurring outside where I currently stay on campus. However, I found that blocking out any source of light does help me stay asleep for a considerable amount of time.

Simplicity Go For A Daily Walk Outside
Fresh air and movement are good for our entire being and can help us think more clearly and creatively. How does taking a walk each day affect yourself and/or your work?

Taking a walk each day helps me to declutter my many thoughts and understand what each means to me. It also gives me time to reflect on the things I need to get done without stressing me out to the point of completing said things at the last minute. Kinda like finding the better route to avoid traffic.

I would like to invest more time in reflecting on what it means to be healthy and how those choices or goals I make for myself can result in a better future for myself and possibly other individuals as well.

Michael Pollan states that “it is better to pay the grocer (our edit: or the farmer!) than the doctor.” What are your thoughts on this assertion?

My thoughts on this assertion are that the foods in grocery stores are cheaper than spending money to receive any form of medical care from health care facilities, especially for those who do not qualify or cannot obtain health insurance. It is difficult for one to control what is available to them or if they can afford something when it cost an arm and a leg to receive medical care, even for something as simple as an ear infection or stomach ache. This is why I believe people would rather give money to a grocer because they can afford it more than going to a doctor. Although there can be some consequences for buying unhealthy foods items, which is another ordeal.
