Giuseppe Collia 10/16/2018 7:28 PMPhew, the EcoChallenge was a lot of work but super rewarding! Good job, all! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportation Advocate for Greener VehiclesReducing (or eliminating) exhaust emissions and improving public health are two benefits of green vehicles. What other motivators inspire you to consider switching to a more fuel-efficient vehicle?
Giuseppe Collia 10/15/2018 8:50 AMI don't have a vehicle which is a big start, but when I need to go place, I try to walk first, then bike, then public transit, then finally bum a ride off others. I do enjoy riding my bike and the health benefits that come with that exercise! -
Giuseppe Collia 10/15/2018 7:24 AMToday is actually the last day! Let's go! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Learn About Local Environmental Justice ConcernsWho is most affected by environmental degration and/or environmental irresponsiblity in your community? How are they affected?
Giuseppe Collia 10/14/2018 5:29 PMThe map didn't seem to work but I would be most likely to expect that it were people of low-income backgrounds or POC because that is how it mostly works on a national level. Dickinson is trying to work with communities to combat this and I believe that we are taking steps to ensure that we meet the goals of the people that are affected, not just those of our classes or those that we perceive without living it. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Whole Food LifestyleMichael Pollan states that “it is better to pay the grocer (our edit: or the farmer!) than the doctor.” What are your thoughts on this assertion?
Giuseppe Collia 10/14/2018 1:33 PMIf we feed ourselves correctly, we'll be less likely to have problems in the long run! It is better to be healthy than to have the best health insurance in the world. I, however, am neither of these things XD -
Giuseppe Collia 10/14/2018 1:29 PMlast day (or second to last)?! Make it count! -
