I've found it more difficult to put my phone away while eating than I anticipated. I often use it to check emails or the weather to stay up to date on current academic events and what not during this time. I find checking in then is quick and convenient because it's otherwise downtime. As I do not keep social media on my phone, I thought it would be easier but I quickly realized that was not the case.
Additionally, the actual task of checking in has been difficult for me to remember because it's not something I consciously consider because it isn't at the same commitment as other projects and assignments for class and because it's so quick, it's not thought about.

I hope you heard that the check-in is not required for this assignment.  But if you do so, you're earning points in the EcoChallenge for their prizes!

I've been a vegetarian for a year and a half now so I wasn't too concerned with finding vegan options.  Shortly into this challenge, I ended up getting sick which mostly affected my digestion of various foods, thus limiting my consumption to mainly bread. As a result, I was unable to consume at least two vegan meals because the foods that did not upset my stomach were not vegan.  Since recovering, I found eating vegan to be relatively easy though I'm unsure if i could maintain a strict vegan diet given current circumstances and living situations.
