-
Thomas Engel 11/20/2019 11:16 AMThese challenges are creating a better quality of life for the participants. Those who keep up with these pledges are developing healthy habits. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity Less Screen TimeWhat did you notice in implementing this challenge? Was it hard to choose other activities over screen time? How did you decide to spend your time?
Thomas Engel 11/13/2019 11:34 AMI have set aside a certain amount of time each day to either exercise, do extra studying, or even learning how to cook a new recipe for a meal I have not tried. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity MeditateWhat would you like to invest more time in reflecting on?
Thomas Engel 11/13/2019 11:30 AMI would like to manifest the areas in my life that make me most happy. With the upcoming cold winter, seasonal depression can occur because of how bleak it is outside. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth More Fruits and VeggiesHow does eating more fruits and vegetables and less meat positively affect yourself, other people, and our planet?
Thomas Engel 11/13/2019 11:21 AMEating fruits and vegetables regularly can improve both your mental and physical health. Some meat, like beef, is produced in an environmentally inefficient way. Cows can be useful for the planet, if they are allowed room to graze. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportation Drive LessHow has your access to various kinds of transportation throughout your life influenced your current attitudes about transportation and your transportation behavior?
Thomas Engel 11/13/2019 11:19 AMI have been using public transportation such as buses and trains since high school. I understand that an efficient public transportation schedule is a necessity for many people. Being able to take the bus to class instead of driving my car helps the environment, and I will not have to spend as much money on gas. -
Thomas Engel 11/12/2019 11:25 AMExercise and an extra hour of sleep at night has had me feeling better mentally about the progress I am making in my life. -
Thomas Engel 11/10/2019 6:59 PMWashing clothing garments in cold water also prevents the color from fading in the material. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEnergy Switch to Cold WaterWhat do you plan to do with the money you save from making more energy efficient choices?
-
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Healthy SleepConsider how many hours of sleep you get now. How would you like to shift your sleep patterns? What are you finding works for you to be successful in this action?
Thomas Engel 11/06/2019 10:26 PMI would like to monitor my sleeping schedule to ensure that I get eight hours of sleep. I will continue to be successful in this action as long as I get to bed at around midnight. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Exercise DailyHow can you incorporate other personal values (like quality time with friends or spending time in nature) into your exercise routine?
Thomas Engel 11/06/2019 10:20 PMInstead of going to the gym alone, I can start bringing a friend as a work out partner. Sometimes that is the inspiration that people need to exercise.
