REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Building Resilience Help OthersIn your opinion, how do social inequalities diminish a strong sense of community?
Analisa Follensbee 4/13/2021 6:12 PMSocial inequalities detract from building stong communities because it does not allow trust and strong relationships to be built. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Practice Loving-Kindness MeditationHow can practicing Loving-Kindness Meditation be helpful to the health of the environment?
Analisa Follensbee 4/13/2021 6:11 PMMeditation helps people live more mindful and fulfilling lives. It can boost people's energy and be healing allowing people to focus on other things, like being more environmentally conscious. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Prevent Recycling ContaminationWhat have you learned about what is accepted by local haulers for recycling, what you can drop off or ship to certain places, and what is not recyclable in your area? What is the most difficult part of recycling for you?
Analisa Follensbee 4/09/2021 8:28 PMThe most difficult recycling for me is metal recycling. The city picks up the normal plastics, glass, paper, etc. but they don't pick up certain metals. There are places in Kenosha where you can recycle metal like PRC, Inc. Parise Recycling Center. In general, Kenosha doesn't allow you to recycle things like styrofoam, waxed or coated paper, and egg cartons. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity Core ValuesWhat are your top 3-5 core values? How did you narrow it down to those as being your core values?
-

What are the barriers to you using reusable bottles and tap water instead of bottled water? How could you make this a permanent habit?
Analisa Follensbee 3/28/2021 7:04 PMSome barriers to using reusable bottles are lack of access to clean, safe water in public places. Not every private or public space has water fountains or bathrooms with sinks you can use. -

Analisa Follensbee 3/28/2021 6:58 PMIt allows me to be a more positive person around others and show appreciation for others' work and actions. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Go PaperlessReducing your paper mail can reduce mental clutter as well as physical waste -- by reducing what is coming in, you can reduce what is going into the recycling bin too. How does it make you feel? What is the next step you will take to reduce your waste?

Analisa Follensbee 3/14/2021 6:56 PMI usually don't drink things that need straws in general. If I do I either skip the straw and drink from the cup or try my best to use a reusable one.
