Emma Gladfelter 11/18/2021 12:12 PMHey everyone! I hope everyone's eco challenge is going good! I have been enjoying making these differences in my life, it makes me feel more successful and more helpful to the economy. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Use Reusable BagsWhat do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reusable one with you or aren't allowed to use the one you brought? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to create a successful habit of not using plastic bags?
Emma Gladfelter 10/14/2021 11:49 AMI have trained myself to not accept disposable bags. I will either make multiple trips to carry things, use a cart, or ask someone for help. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunity Raise Money For a NonprofitHow do/can Ecochallenge.org programs help you develop a stronger sense of community?
Emma Gladfelter 10/14/2021 11:48 AMThey help me develop a stronger sense of community by showing me ways to give back. This has made me think of multiple ways to help others and the economy. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunity SIGN UP TO VOTEWhy is voting important to creating a just, sustainable, and thriving world? In what other ways can you actively participate in important decision-making?
Emma Gladfelter 10/14/2021 11:46 AMVoting is important because it allows the people to have a voice of what they think is best. You can also start petitions, voice yourself on social medias, contribute to society. -
Emma Gladfelter 10/07/2021 6:54 AMI have started falling asleep around 9:30-10 at night which has been allowing me to wake up early. I woke up and enjoyed sunset and a yogurt and banana for breakfast. -

Emma Gladfelter 10/07/2021 6:52 AMThis morning I already helped 3 people. I helped the girl across the hall take her trash out on my way to class so she would not be late, helped my RA carry her dishes so she only needed to make one trip, and helped my friend be up on time for class. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Explore My AreaHow might spending more time outdoors enhance your brainpower?
Emma Gladfelter 10/07/2021 6:48 AMIt allows your brain to relax and regenerate from the stress it was under. Fresh air will also be good for the brain. It allows you to think more clearly and have more energy. -
Emma Gladfelter 10/07/2021 6:47 AMMy family and I, including my dogs, went on a hike near here on a trail we have never been on. It was nice to get fresh air, exercise, and see my family. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Whole Food LifestyleMichael Pollan states that “it is better to pay the grocer (our edit: or the farmer!) than the doctor.” What are your thoughts on this assertion?
Emma Gladfelter 10/05/2021 4:10 PMIt is very true. Eating healthier allows you to be healthier both physically and emotionally. If you are constantly eating processed foods, you are more likely to experience a variety of health issues which can cost more money in the long run.
