REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Compost Food WasteNew to composting? Be sure to check out the action resource links to learn tips and more about it. As you transition from throwing food away to composting, what do you notice about how much you are tossing? How will you use your compost once it is ready?
Giovvana Guerrero 7/23/2021 10:37 PMAlthough it is my first time composting, I grew watching my dad preparing the soil and composting to grow different vegetables and fruits for us to consume. Now that I'm the one composting, it makes me realize how much organic waste we create, and the great benefit we can use from that waste. I will use my composite to grow a garden in memory of my angel daughter Aurora, and there will be beautiful flowers growing.-
Christian Gomez Diaz 7/23/2021 11:17 PMHello Giovvana, I find it interesting that your dad show you how to do composting. Its something that I would like to learn as I would like to one day have my own apple tree. Also that is really nice tribute to your daughter. So overall great post.

REFLECTION QUESTIONEnergy Choose LED BulbsSwitching out your lightbulbs is an excellent first step toward energy efficiency! In what other ways can you exercise your civic duty to protect the environment and reduce carbon emissions?
Giovvana Guerrero 7/18/2021 10:24 PMTaking advantage of the sunlight in your house and leaving all the lights off until dawn.-
Parris Allen 7/18/2021 11:50 PMHi Giovanna, I agree I definitely utilize the sunlight when I can. This is something that i've known to do since when I was a child and something I will definitely pass down to my children to do. Sunlight is way better than using your electricity definitely energy efficient. -
Tanajah Steen 7/18/2021 10:46 PMHi Giovvana, I agree using the sun's light rather than using electricity is an effective way to be energy efficient.

REFLECTION QUESTIONEnergy Switch to Cold WaterWhat do you plan to do with the money you save from making more energy efficient choices?
Giovvana Guerrero 7/18/2021 10:21 PMI like the idea of investing in organic food to feed my family. Sadly, buying organic food is almost a luxury when it shouldn't.
I think that providing my family a healthy plate will be good for their health. I can also provide a food bank a bag with only organic products so they can also have the chance to feed other families a healthy meal. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEnergy Upgrade My WindowsHow does improving your home's energy efficiency help you better live out your values?
Giovvana Guerrero 7/18/2021 10:14 PMLiving in an area where we got snow in the winter, installing weatherproof windows was the main thing as well as insulation the house. I looked at these actions as more beneficial since we save energy, gas consumption, and wood burning. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Choose Organic IngredientsMany people say that “you can’t feed the world with just organic food.” How would you respond to that statement?
Giovvana Guerrero 7/15/2021 9:56 PMWe are responsible for our healthy consumption of food but we also have to begin thinking about the possibility of making organic food affordable for more people, that way we could reach that goal.
