REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth HappinessHow does/can practicing gratitude keep you centered and motivated to work for a better world?
Cora Heinzen 4/22/2020 2:42 PMStaying positive is really important in being motivated to keep taking actions. It's important to acknowledge what isn't good and what issues need to be fixed, but it's really easy to get bogged down by all the bad if you don't take a step back and look at the good. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Reduce Animal ProductsWhy do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our planet and other people?
Cora Heinzen 4/22/2020 2:38 PMI think especially in the US there is a culture around eating meat, and how "American" it is. BBQs, steaks, and hamburgers are classics in the American diet, especially on the Fourth of July. Thanksgiving is celebrated with a turkey. It's also seen as more substantial and better than foods without meat. People don't really go to a fancy restaurant and order the house salad, they go to the fancy restaurant and order steak or lobster.
