Julie Huynh 10/28/2021 11:55 AMI took it easy at the gym today because I didn't want to overwork my body. I did start to feel sick, but that might have been due to dehydration. Hoping to have a better gym session tomorrow! -
Julie Huynh 10/25/2021 1:17 PMAs I focus more on my health, I noticed that my fatigue levels have diminished. Cutting unhealthy sugars has also made me feel "lighter" and happier. -
Julie Huynh 10/21/2021 12:19 PMIt has been my goal to go to the gym at least 5 days a week for an hour (+) each day. Today I was able to go to the gym before my classes started and got in a good workout! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunity Engage In Active ListeningWhat was it like to actively listen to someone? How did both people and the conversation(s) benefit from active listening?
Julie Huynh 10/19/2021 1:33 PMActive listening is a communication skill we all need. Listening in general can be hard when you have things on your mind or when you disagree with someone. I will admit it was very hard for me to listen to someone when I did not agree with what they were saying. I wanted to jump in and argue/disagree with their arguments, but in order to maintain a healthy relationship with friends and family, I learned that I needed to hear them out and see what they have to say while also taking their arguments into consideration. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Reduce refined sugarBefore you started this challenge, did you think you were 'addicted' to sugar? How do you feel now?
Julie Huynh 10/18/2021 7:32 PMPrior to challenge, I wasn't necessarily addicted to sugar, but it was hard to keep it out of the diet. Now I get most of my "sweets" from natural ingredients like fruits.-
