REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity De-Clutter My Home or Dorm RoomHow can you prevent yourself from accumulating more unnecessary things in the future?
Jaia Johnson 4/27/2020 9:24 AMNO IMPULSIVE SHOPPING! Sometimes I just get the urge to shop and I do way to much. Cutting down on the unnecessary things you buy definitely helps with not having as much clutter. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunity Support Businesses Owned by People of ColorA recent Keen Independent Research Foundation study found that Minority Businesses Enterprises (MBEs) are more likely to have difficulties in receiving loans or city contracts. In what ways can you work to address systemic racism like that demonstrated in this study?
Jaia Johnson 4/24/2020 10:07 AMWell, the first step is helping grow the business. Try and shop from them if you can tell people you know about the business to try and get some recognition. Truthfully, speaking up is the best thing you can do. Bring attention to the unfairness and wrongdoing that happens, and hold anyone involved accountable for their actions. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Reduce Animal ProductsWhy do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our planet and other people?
Jaia Johnson 4/23/2020 10:09 AMBecause I’m richer countries we can afford it. It’s not so much of a luxury to us as it might be somewhere else. Eating meat kills off animals that live around the world , and creates imbalance in our ecosystem.
