REFLECTION QUESTIONEnergy Power Down the ComputerWhat are other easy things you could do to save energy and reduce your environmental footprint?
Mollie Juberien 5/18/2020 4:44 PMAnother easy thing I could do to save energy would be to cut out light use where I can. One thing I've thought of, is not turning the bathroom light on when I use it during the day time. Out of habit, I turn it on anytime I go in there, but I actually get enough natural sunlight through the window that during the day, it's really not necessary to use the light. I'll work on breaking this habit. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity MeditateWhat would you like to invest more time in reflecting on?
Mollie Juberien 5/13/2020 1:02 PMThere are so many proven health benefits of meditation. I've been trying for a long time to get into a regular meditation practice, but it's just never stuck. This ecochallenge gives me a great opportunity to try again! My goal is to spend 10 minutes each morning doing mindfulness meditation. Today, I did a 30 minute guided meditation that a co-worker set up for a group over lunch. I'd like to invest more time reflecting on joyfulness. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWater 5-Minute ShowersName some of the human activities impacting the health of water systems, both locally (your watershed) and globally (freshwater and oceans). What can you do to improve the health of water systems?
Mollie Juberien 5/12/2020 9:51 PMI think the 5 minute shower will be totally doable on nights when I don't wash my hair... but I have really think, long hair , so on shower nights where I need to wash it, it's going to be impossible to hit 5 minutes. I'll brainstorm ways I can still try to cut down the running water time on those days even if I can't hit <5 minutes.
