    Hannah Kachur's avatar
    Hannah Kachur 4/14/2021 8:19 PM
Equality for trans, femme, and nonbinary people is important to society because everyone is entitled to the same rights, and a person's gender identity should not justify injustice.

    Hannah Kachur's avatar
    Hannah Kachur 4/11/2021 7:23 PM
I can express my personality through my words and actions. If I want to express myself through my wardrobe, I can incorporate elements I already have rather than needing to buy new clothes or accessories.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Go Paperless
Reducing your paper mail can reduce mental clutter as well as physical waste -- by reducing what is coming in, you can reduce what is going into the recycling bin too. How does it make you feel? What is the next step you will take to reduce your waste?

    Hannah Kachur's avatar
    Hannah Kachur 4/06/2021 4:43 PM
It feels really good to not get constant bills and advertisements in the mail! I like that I can just log into my accounts online and get all my information from there.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

    Hannah Kachur's avatar

    Hannah Kachur's avatar
    Hannah Kachur 3/31/2021 10:24 AM

    Hannah Kachur's avatar
    Hannah Kachur 3/31/2021 10:18 AM
Social inequalities diminish a strong sense of community because people affected by those inequalities can feel like society doesn't want them to succeed, or like society is actually trying to prevent them from succeeding.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

A recent Keen Independent Research Foundation study found that Minority Businesses Enterprises (MBEs) are more likely to have difficulties in receiving loans or city contracts. In what ways can you work to address systemic racism like that demonstrated in this study?

    Hannah Kachur's avatar
    Hannah Kachur 3/31/2021 10:16 AM
I can work to address systematic racism by attempting to raise awareness of the issue and educating myself further.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Waste Use a Reusable Water Bottle
While water bottles are needed for health and safety in certain places, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. What are the barriers to you using reusable bottles and tap water instead of bottled water? How could you make this a permanent habit?

    Hannah Kachur's avatar
    Hannah Kachur 3/30/2021 10:25 AM
It can be difficult to remember to bring a reusable bottle with me wherever I go, but I can make it a permanent habit by keeping one in my car or in my bag so I have it with me at all times.
