  • REFLECTION QUESTION

Humans can ruin our water supply by putting sediment and pollution into the water, and by overusing water through agriculture and other activities. We can save it by taking shorter showers, not running water while brushing our teeth, and not using our toilets and sinks as trash cans.

My house is powered by natural gas. Even though it is technically cleaner than other forms of fossil fuels, it is still toxic to the environment because it releases CO2 into the atmosphere. The added CO2 hurts the environment due to climate change. It hurts plants and animals by destroying their habitats, and it hurts humans because the rising temperatures causes CO2 levels to rise which could flood or even submerged costal areas.
