    Food sovereignty allows a deeper sense of culture through continuing traditional food preparation and consumption. When the people have control over the food it becomes more sustainable and healthier.

    Black and indigenous communities are most affected by environmental degration and irresponsibility because it is through their neighborhoods or reservations that pipelines are built or fracking is done. Even now predominantly black and hispanic neighborhoods are being hit the hardest with covid infections.

    The quickly intensifying climate crisis is what inspires me to further push for and support solar panels, windmills and other renewable energy sources.

    A good way to avoid fast fashion is by buying clothes secondhand, hand-me-downs, upcylcling old clothes/accessories, as well as donating or reselling clothes/accessories you no longer fit/want.
