    Energy Adjust the Thermostat
Your utility company is able to tell you your average energy usage. Ask them how your energy usage compares to others in your ZIP code, region, and/or state. What other steps can you take each day to reduce your electricity usage?

Xcel energy has a comparison to all neighbors and energy efficient  neighbors and, frustratingly, my energy usage is always much higher than my neighbors. I'm excited to get the next bill since I've been trying to reduce my energy usage, I'm hoping I will be close to my energy efficient neighbors. To further reduce my energy usage I have not been heating or cooling my home, just opening windows. I plan to buy the power strips that can turn off individual items and replace my light bulbs with LED. I have replaced one so far.
