Courtney's actions
Waste
Use a Reusable Mug
I will avoid sending 1 disposable cup(s) to the landfill each day by using a reusable mug.
Waste
Skip the Straw
Plastic bags and small plastic pieces like straws are most likely to get swept into our waterways. I will keep 1 plastic straw(s) out of the landfill and ocean each day by refusing straws or using my own glass/metal straw.
Waste
Find Local Recycling Depots
I will find out where to recycle the recyclable items that I can't put in recycling dumpsters or my curbside bin.
Community
LEARN ABOUT TRANS, FEMME, AND NONBINARY EXPERIENCES
I will spend 30 minutes learning about the experiences of trans, femme, and/or nonbinary people.
Simplicity
Core Values
We may find more meaning and joy in life when our actions are aligned with our personal values. I will determine what my top 3-5 core values are so that I can better align my actions with them.
Health
More Fruits and Veggies
I will eat a heart healthy diet by adding 4 cup(s) of fruits and vegetables each day to achieve at least 4 cups per day.
Health
Exercise Daily
Exercise is a great stress blaster! I will exercise for 45 minute(s) each day.
Nature
Explore My Area
I will explore at least one new hiking trail or nature walk in my area.
Simplicity
Mindfulness Practice
I will spend 5 minute(s) per day practicing Mindfulness.
Simplicity
Track my Purchases
I will spend 5 minutes each day maintaining a record of all my purchases and learning about my spending habits.
Community
Volunteer in my Community
I will volunteer 8 hour(s) in my community during the challenge.

Courtney Loosli 10/28/2021 1:59 PMI remembered to bring my reusable cup to work again! I am really happy that Eco-Challenge has helped me to incorporate this new habit into my life. I plan on continuing this habit into the future :) -
Courtney Loosli 10/26/2021 11:24 AMI am making a habit of grabbing my reusable mug before heading to work! I am a barista so we make PLENTY of free coffee throughout the day. I feel better now using a reusable mug rather than our disposable mugs that we hand out to customers. My customers have actually inspired me as well. A few regulars always bring in a reusable mug and I love hearing their thoughts on being environmentally conscious. -
Courtney Loosli 10/25/2021 3:09 PMI am very happy! :) I have been meaning to bring my reusable cup to work for a while now so that way I can stop using the non-recyclable cups offered at my work. Today I remembered to bring my mug and it was awesome! I feel better after not using the paper mug and I feel like to cared the my environment that I am responsible for me. :) -
Courtney Loosli 10/22/2021 10:45 PMCampus Eco-Challenge is going well! Not 100%. I am completing what I can for the challenges. I am not consistently completing everything, but I am enjoying being more mindful of where I still want to grow :)-
April Ann Fong 10/23/2021 9:11 AMThat's why it is called a challenge, right? Keep on trying!

Courtney Loosli 10/19/2021 9:33 PMToday I had to attend the SUPER early 6 am class at my gym. It was awesome and I felt super great! But afterward, it was still dark outside and I needed to run to the store because I did not have coffee creamer at home. I did not want to continue my morning without a cup of coffee. At the grocery store, the cashier had a hard time ringing up the customer's receipt in front of me, so it was a great moment to practice mindfulness, haha :) But the reason why I am posting this as a Mindfulness appreciation post was that the moment I came out of the store and drove home I witnessed the most radiant, bright, orange sunrise! :)))) It was such a pleasant and invigorating morning drive and a great moment to be mindful and thankful for this life:) -
Courtney Loosli 10/18/2021 8:26 PMI had an awesome time this last Friday volunteering at my church with our ESL classes for incoming refugees from Afghanistan and other places in the Middle East! Love these ladies! I will be attending every Friday morning :)-
April Ann Fong 10/19/2021 8:16 AMThat sounds like an EVENT that could be tied to ESR 171! :D
