  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Nature Spend Time Outside
Rachel Carson said that we need the beauty and mysteries of the natural world for our spiritual and emotional development. Does that ring true for you? What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time indoors?

I think that it is true for me. I feel very connected and centered when I am outside, I think because it shows me what the earth is capable of and it is just constantly awe-inspiring. I think a culture that spends most of its time outdoors is one that is connected to sustainability, in community with others, and able to find a sense of personal peace.
