Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?
-
Katie Martin 4/21/2020 1:02 PMI chose to join the EcoChallenge because I wanted to improve my knowledge on ways to make my day-to-day actions more sustainable in the ways that me resources allow me to. The two daily actions that I want to be particularly mindful of are taking shorter showers and writing down three things I am grateful for. I've wanted to do these actions for awhile, and having the daily check mark makes it easier. I also want to focus on decluttering my belongings in preparation for my cross-country move into graduate school.-
Shayna Thostenson 4/22/2020 3:49 PMThat sounds like a great "why", Katie. Keep up the good work!

REFLECTION QUESTIONWater 5-Minute ShowersName some of the human activities impacting the health of water systems, both locally (your watershed) and globally (freshwater and oceans). What can you do to improve the health of water systems?
Katie Martin 4/21/2020 12:56 PMTo continue to reduce my water footprint, I want to become more educated about the best practices for washing clothes and dishes more efficiently. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth HappinessHow does/can practicing gratitude keep you centered and motivated to work for a better world?
Katie Martin 4/20/2020 8:44 PMI hope that by beginning to practice gratitude it will help me stay more grounded on what is important.
