It's fun to see the competitive spirit coming out and the encouraging and reflective statements people have made. My only wish is that we make only positive statements here; this should not be a place to spark rumors or to "tattle" on others. The purpose of this challenge is to be reflective of how our actions contribute to helping to heal the earth and educate ourselves. Let's act with integrity all the way around, please.

Its is fun to see what the teams are doing. So far in the rankings, it is all of lower and preschool, then Guillaume's 6th grade advisory, and then Emily's 7th grade advisory, of which I am lucky to be a part.

This was a very pleasant surprise I found along 14th street in Manhattan yesterday as I was walking to the subway after an early morning doctor visit. I love the small joys one can experience by being open to the world around you while walking. I would not have seen this if I had been on my phone.

Sadly getting the extra sleep has come from sleeping through my alarm, haha! I need to abide by an alarm in the evenings to power down electronics and get ready for bed.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

I have been very aware of my sugar intake for a couple of years now, At first, it surprised. me to find sugar in so many unexpected places, such as salad dressings and ketchup. But am I celebrating earning my Masters degree with a cake this weekend? Yes. Yes, I am.

I turn off my surge protectors when I am not using them. I am getting better and keeping things unplugged overnight.

I appreciate being able to "leave work" when I shut down my work computer. I don't know why I didn't do this sooner; I have burnt out in the past. I am hoping that by managing my time more purposefully, I can avoid burn out in the future.

I like the idea of being more aware of the world around me and my place in it. It's nice to feel connected to a larger group.
