Sarah's actions
Waste
Skip the Straw
Plastic bags and small plastic pieces like straws are most likely to get swept into our waterways. I will keep 4 plastic straw(s) out of the landfill and ocean each day by refusing straws or using my own glass/metal straw.
Health
Exercise Daily
Exercise is a great stress blaster! I will exercise for 60 minute(s) each day.
Energy
Turn it off
I will keep lights, electronics, and appliances turned off when not using them.
Nature
Go for a Daily Walk
I will take a 15-minute walk outside each day.
Simplicity
Eat Mindfully
I will eat all of my meals without distractions, e.g., phone, computer, TV, or newspaper.
Transportation
Work from Home
I will work from home 6 day(s) to avoid my commute's carbon output.
Water
5-Minute Showers
I will save up to 20 gallons (75 L) of water each day by taking 5-minute showers.
Community
Help Others
I will offer to help 3 person(s) who are in need each day.

REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Exercise DailyHow can you incorporate other personal values (like quality time with friends or spending time in nature) into your exercise routine?
Sarah Meyer 1/20/2020 1:48 PMI love going to the gym with friends or going on hikes. Being in the outdoors and participating in hikes or even just walking my dog is beneficial to health and keeps me motivated of my personal goals. My goal is to exercise each day for at least 60 min. This can be a variety of activities including running on the beach, going to the gym etc. Also, completing a workout with friends is helpful because they can keep you accountable as well.-
