I have been doing well with my challenges so far because they are not huge changes in my lifestyle, but what I have noticed is that I have become more mindful of the amount of energy I use on a daily basis and the areas I can keep improving. One of the challenges I chose was to turn off lights and appliances when I am not using them, and after the activity we did in class about finding out some things still use energy even when they are plugged in but not being used, I have been trying to unplug things like my microwave and toaster when I am not using them.

Great job. I think toasters don't always use energy when not in use, though. Might want to check yours out with the watt meter.

I definitely can relate to your thoughts on how you're more mindful about your energy usage.  Even though I didn't specifically sign up for certain challenges, I find myself being more likely to turn off appliances when I don't use them because it just makes more sense to preserve where I can and hardly any effort goes into it.
