Waste
Advocate For More Food Packaging Options

Try a New Way to Prep

Get Involved in the Water Justice Movement
I will spend at least 60 minutes using the resources provided to learn about water justice and find out how I can get involved in local initiatives.
Water
5-Minute Showers
I will save up to 20 gallons (75 L) of water each day by taking 5-minute showers.
Water
Brush My Teeth Without Running Water
I will save up to 8 gallons (30 L) of water each day by turning it off while brushing my teeth.

Switch to Cold Water
I will switch to washing my clothes in cold water, saving up to 133 lbs of CO2 a month and 1,600 lbs of CO2 over the course of the next year.

Turn it off
I will keep lights, electronics, and appliances turned off when not using them.

Your dedication has significantly contributed to our ability to advance sustainable behavior even as we socially distance. In the next week or two, we will be receiving a report from Eco-Challenge summarizing the total environmental impact of the competition. I will be sure to share it with you all since you were the rockstars who made it happen. I will also be following up with our prize winners later today, keep an eye out an email! -

Alboury Ndiaye 4/27/2020 2:10 PMHey everyone! Attached is a leader board from last Friday. Our team was originally in the lead but it looks like the Freshmen class snuck by us over the weekend. It's still a tight race so lets make sure we're doing everything we can to stay in the lead. Even though we're now in week two, I still encourage you to invite your colleagues to join the team. There is definitely enough time left to make an impact. We got this! -
Alboury Ndiaye 4/24/2020 12:22 PMHappy Friday, everyone! The category of today is wellness. Try and spend 30 minutes today mediating or being mindful. Meditation is something I've been trying to get into lately. It's tough at first but I definitely notice a positive impact on my stress level and my overall well being. The better we feel, the better we are able to fight for sustainability! -
