"I want to safe the planet and save it now"
Plastic bags and small plastic pieces like straws are most likely to get swept into our waterways. I will keep 4 plastic straw(s) out of the landfill and ocean each day by refusing straws or using my own glass/metal straw.
I will use a reusable bottle and stop purchasing bottled water, saving 1 disposable plastic bottle(s) a day.
I will enjoy the sunrise and/or sunset each day.
Effectively working for sustainability requires self care! I will commit to getting 5 more minute(s) of sleep each night to achieve at least 7 hours per night.
I will spend at least 2 minutes assessing the vehicles used by my company or college and advocate for a purchasing policy focused on fuel-efficient vehicles.
Exercise is a great stress blaster! I will exercise for 60 minute(s) each day.
I will take a walk outside for 30 minutes each day.
I will eat a heart healthy diet by adding 3 cup(s) of fruits and vegetables each day to achieve at least 4 cups per day.
I will spend 10 minutes learning about the experiences of trans, femme, and/or nonbinary people.
I will save up to 8 gallons (30 L) of water each day by turning it off while brushing my teeth.
I will keep lights, electronics, and appliances turned off when not using them.
I will save up to 20 gallons (75 L) of water each day by taking 5-minute showers.
We may find more meaning and joy in life when our actions are aligned with our personal values. I will determine what my top 3-5 core values are so that I can better align my actions with them.
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
