How can you incorporate other personal values (like quality time with friends or spending time in nature) into your exercise routine?

My dad and I have been taking taekwondo for many years together, and we also have friends who take taekwondo. It is a good way to get a workout and develop a community of people who, despite all their dissimilarities outside of taekwondo, are united by this common factor and can encourage, support, and help one another become better athletes/martial artists.

Practicing gratitude can help us to center our struggles and difficulties within the grand scheme of things.  It helps us to examine what we do have rather than what we don't have. Gratitude reminds us that even though everything in our lives might not be exactly the way we would like them to be right now, we do still have a lot of good things to be grateful for.

Practicing gratitude is something I personally need to do a lot of work on.

The more grateful we are, the more likely we will be to value other people and treat them with kindness and respect. We will also be more likely to take care of the things that we have if we are grateful for them.
