REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Use a Reusable Water BottleWhile water bottles are needed for health and safety in certain places, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. What are the barriers to you using reusable bottles and tap water instead of bottled water? How could you make this a permanent habit?
Erica Rinehart (Slaysman) 3/12/2022 12:14 PMThe barrier to using reusable bottles is that bottle refill stations or water aren't always available, so having several plastic bottles at hand may be more convenient. Personally, I find it easier to just have a larger water bottle because it lasts a lot longer between refills, and this has made me use significantly fewer plastic bottles. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Weekly Meal PlanningAn average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four in the US spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Does this surprise you? Where would you rather use this money?
Erica Rinehart (Slaysman) 3/12/2022 12:09 PMThis doesn't surprise me as people often buy either unnecessary food items or buy food items in portions that are too big. Personally, I would rather use this money to go on vacation rather than towards wasted food. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Healthy SleepConsider how many hours of sleep you get now. How would you like to shift your sleep patterns? What are you finding works for you to be successful in this action?
Erica Rinehart (Slaysman) 3/12/2022 12:08 PMI would like to shift my sleep patterns by going to bed earlier and waking up earlier. I'm finding that by going to sleep earlier, I wake up even earlier than usual and feel more refreshed, which makes me more productive throughout the day. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Go for a Daily WalkHow do you experience your neighborhood or city differently when walking instead of driving?
Erica Rinehart (Slaysman) 3/12/2022 12:05 PMI tend to notice and appreciate little things more when walking because I actually have the chance to observe my surroundings. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Go get a check upHow do you practice self care?
Erica Rinehart (Slaysman) 3/07/2022 4:09 PMI practice self-care by exercising daily, eating healthy meals, and by ensuring that I have time to destress on a daily basis in order to maintain good mental health. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Exercise DailyHow can you incorporate other personal values (like quality time with friends or spending time in nature) into your exercise routine?
Erica Rinehart (Slaysman) 3/07/2022 4:05 PMFamily time and spending time in nature can be incorporated into an exercise routine by going on walks, hikes, and other outdoor sports/activities, and encouraging friends and family to join.-
lilli greene (CHO) 3/08/2022 8:24 AMI love going on walks with my mom and just getting to talk with no distractions!
