The lack of access to nutritious food affect a community is because the food production and consumption is not about personal decisions but rather is is more about politics and systems who determine whether who has healthy grocery options and who does not. The existing guidelines ignore the needs of the climate and rely on intensive factory farming practices, then they assign blame for poor bodily health and quality of life based on “choices” that, for many people do not exist. By having access to the nutritious food they can help a community become more resilient because its what our body needs, not factory made food that harms our bodies and makes us become overweight, Not to mention people would live longer and feel better about themselves.

Amanda Barba 11/29/2020 9:52 PMHello Zeus, you make an interesting point on this topic. While I agree that certain communities are focused more around fast food or just all around poorer food options/choices, I feel that we cannot simply leave that community completely blameless. Yes it would be that much more difficult for them to find healthier food choices, but not impossible. I value your perspective, and I hope you continue to help people see from a new light!
