Thomas Sampson 8/08/2021 6:33 PMIt was fun, hopefully I solidified second place by making this post, going over 500 points. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWater Brush My Teeth Without Running WaterWhat is the main water source in your region? If you don't know, how could you find out?
Thomas Sampson 7/28/2021 7:32 AMI think the main water source in my region is an aquifer in my neighboring town. In the case you did not know, I'm sure it's information that could be easily obtained on the web. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWater Use Reusable BottlesWhat are some of the needs that water meets or benefits that water provides for you?
Thomas Sampson 7/28/2021 7:29 AMWell, to put it simply, all humans needs water to survive. Just about everything in the world is made of water. Without it human life as well as probably all living life would cease to exist. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWater Conserve Toilet WaterWhat would a sustainable water future in your region look like? What needs to change?
Thomas Sampson 7/28/2021 7:27 AMBetter use of resource by at least 70% of individuals. At that point there would likely be enough to have a meaningful impact. It doesn't really matter how it's done, there are many different ways to accomplish this. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWater 5-Minute ShowersName some of the human activities impacting the health of water systems, both locally (your watershed) and globally (freshwater and oceans). What can you do to improve the health of water systems?
Thomas Sampson 7/28/2021 7:19 AMWater used for showers, washing dishes, brushing teeth, cleaning clothes, and MANY more. USE LESS. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Joyful MovementWhat's your favorite activity(ies) in which you experience joy while being active and moving?
Thomas Sampson 7/28/2021 7:13 AMRoad cycling, basketball, lacrosse, golf, running, and daily walks. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Healthy SleepConsider how many hours of sleep you get now. How would you like to shift your sleep patterns? What are you finding works for you to be successful in this action?
Thomas Sampson 7/28/2021 7:10 AMCurrently I get anywhere from 6-8 hours. I would like to get a consistent 7-8 as I feel this would be the best for my physical and cognitive health. What has worked best for me is trying to stay off my phone late at night. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth HappinessHow does/can practicing gratitude keep you centered and motivated to work for a better world?
Thomas Sampson 7/28/2021 7:08 AMBeing thankful for all that you have in life can go a long way, especially the for the little things. It's very easy in life to take things for granted and loose sight of what's most important. That said, if you can learn to do this, it can help many facets of your life. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Take ControlHow do environmental health, community health, and your personal health intersect?
Thomas Sampson 7/28/2021 7:04 AMI believe these three things start with personal health. If you don't have that one squared away, you likely won't figure out the other two. I would then say that the environment and community go hand-in-hand. If you have one, the likelihood of also having the other is high. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Know My healthHow do you deal with the physical and emotional stress of the big problems we face? How can you help others cope?
Thomas Sampson 7/28/2021 7:00 AMI cope with stress by doing some activity I enjoy, as well as spending time with family and friends. I can help others cope by being there for them and giving good advice.
