I managed to cross off all of my challenges for the last day and hope to keep up some of these habits like taking shorter showers and brushing my teeth with the water off. Keeping a gratitude journal has also been really nice and I think maintaining that will help keep me from mindlessly consuming more than I need. -

Ana Shimp 10/22/2021 8:57 PMEcochallenge is going well, I managed to do almost all of my tasks today although I realized that I haven't done one of my tasks, meditating, at all yet. I'll make sure to get that one done tomorrow! -
Ana Shimp 10/20/2021 9:36 PMToday was another beautiful day so I spent an hour outside and even ate dinner outside, combining two of my action items. I have also been keeping a gratitude journal which helps keep me focused on why I care about making sustainable choices, and helps me to recognize all that I have so I don’t buy more things out of boredom or sadness. Taking 5 minute showers has been easier than I expected, I’ve been keeping up with this task well! -
Ana Shimp 10/18/2021 6:22 PMSo far the eco challenge has been going well. This weekend I took a couple of longer showers because it was really cold out, but today I took less than 5 minutes to shower. I have also been spending a lot of time outside since the weather has been nice here :) -

Ana Shimp 10/12/2021 5:16 PMToday I took a 5 minute shower (which was easy today, but I'm nervous about hair-washing day), brushed my teeth with the water off, and spent a few hours outside. I also cut down my social media time and instead read about something we learned in class today, which is that honey bees are not native to North America. Unfortunately I did not add any fruits or vegetables to my diet today, nor did I write down what I am grateful for, but I did find some time to meditate while I was sitting outside.
