REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity MeditateWhat would you like to invest more time in reflecting on?
Helena Souffrant 7/20/2020 11:29 AMI'd like to invest more time in thinking about what I want for myself and less of what I think other people want from me. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Leave No TraceEducator Stephanie Kaza advises her students to focus on what they care about most when addressing the enormity of ecological problems. Is there a specific area you feel particularly called to work on?
Helena Souffrant 7/16/2020 5:15 PMI feel obligated to advocate for the environment and fight against climate change. Generation Z has involuntarily inherited the climate crisis and it is our future that is in danger. We must all work to minimize the worse repercussions that are bound to come if we don't act now. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Smart Seafood ChoicesMany states and countries have advisories on eating fish. Find out what is advised for your region. Do you think your diet choices fall within these guidelines? What steps do you need to take to make sure that they do?
Helena Souffrant 7/16/2020 5:06 PMOhio advises consumers to eat yellow perch or some type of sunfish twice a week. Ohio also advises consumers to eat flathead catfish, northern pike, or steelhead trout once a month. All of these species can be locally caught in Lake Erie.
I am a vegetarian I don't eat meat but I do occasionally eat fish. So I guess I'm really a pescetarian :) -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Explore My AreaHow might spending more time outdoors enhance your brainpower?
