eat 2 meatless meals a day

it boils down to land use. Farmers generally over fertilize their pastures to feed their cattle which puts unnecessary strain on the soil and affects the nitrogen and phosphorus cycles. I also have questions on how the cattle is killed and processed.

    It's going great!!! I took out meat products from my breakfast and lunch.

    Why do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our planet and other people?

    Because they can afford it and their country makes it more available. Not all meats are created equal. For instance, Lamb and Beef are 1 and 2 in ecofootprint, where Chicken and Turkey are 5 and 6 respectively. Chesse is actually number 3!  over fertoilizing the soil to feed cattle contributes to greenhouse gases.
