REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunity Host A Watch PartyWhat did you learn about in the documentary you watched? How did it make you feel?
Izzy Telecky 4/21/2021 6:00 PMI watched a documentary about women in stem and how as a community they have achieved great findings in environmental studies, and after viewing the movie, I attended a panel where we got to speak with one of those women in the documentary! It was amazing. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity Less Screen TimeWhat did you notice in implementing this challenge? Was it hard to choose other activities over screen time? How did you decide to spend your time?
Izzy Telecky 4/21/2021 5:57 PMThis challenge has been harder to do for me because my classes are practically all online. For me, it was taking moments to spend away from the computer. It is still possible to do homework without staring at a screen! It is honestly rejuvenating to not have to stare into the technological abyss for hours on end. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity Eat MindfullyMindful eating is healthier for us than eating with distractions. How do your eating experiences differ when practicing mindfulness?
Izzy Telecky 4/21/2021 5:50 PMPracticing this kind of mindfulness while eating has helped me not only be grateful for my meals, but it also gives emphasis to food fueling my body. Taking time with just myself and my food is a healing experience for me due to my past relationship with food. -
Izzy Telecky 4/23/2020 9:07 PMWe just put in two rain barrels in my family's backyard! They are connected to the gutters of our house and garage, so whenever it rains, the water will drain into the rain barrels! If the rain barrels get completely full, the pump will shut off that pipe and the water will continue to drain out of the usual gutter. Also, this rain water will be used to water all the new flowers we are going to plant soon!-
Ellie Romfoe 4/23/2020 9:32 PMThis is so cool and wicked smart on like 500 levels. We love to see it!! 🌎🌧

Izzy Telecky 4/23/2020 9:06 PMI found a great website to buy second hand clothing! It's called goodfair and they sell "surprise" packages, so you don't necessarily know the exact design you get, but you get a theme! It's super awesome, and wonderful for our earth!! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Choose Two-Sided PrintingChoosing two-sided printing can be an easy adjustment on your computer settings. How can you help others make this same switch? Can it be encouraged company wide?
Izzy Telecky 4/19/2020 6:18 PMIt is so easy to apply to your life. It saves binder space if you're printing school worksheets or notes! It's a simple button you click on your printer settings. It is an easy, earth friendly switch to make. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Use Reusable BagsWhat do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reusable one with you or aren't allowed to use the one you brought? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to create a successful habit of not using plastic bags?
Izzy Telecky 4/19/2020 6:12 PMEspecially during COVID-19, going out to get necessary items from stores makes it easier and more convenient to accept a disposable bag. Just today, I was at the store with my mother to help get necessary medicine for my little sister. When we were checking out, my mom wanted to use a disposable bag. The solution to just carry it out by hand was a simple solution, but sometimes it is not the best solution during this time.
