    During the school year i am finding it very difficult to try and fit in 30 extra minutes of sleep. With juggling school work, my job and friends, sleep is not one of my top priorities. Somedays this can really effect me when i am feeling exhausted in the library and cant get anything done. I want to make it more of a goal to prioritize my sleep schedule.

    To start advocating for meatless options, I am going to start by bringing veggie burgers for everyone to try at my next work meeting (October  29th). If i can get people to realize there are many meatless options that can satisfy your meat cravings it might influence a few people to start thinking about how they can cut down in their meat consumption. I am going to need to do some research to be able to back up my reasons for being a vegetarian because I am close with many of my coworkers so I expect to get some backlash. I am just hoping i don't have some picky eaters and that everyone will be open to trying them.

    I want to go beyond just cutting out meat in my diet but also be an activist for promoting this life style and how it can make a big impact. When i have a break from school, either over thanksgiving or christmas break i am going to write letters to big food corporations both locally and nationally to stress the idea of having meatless options and promoting the impossible meat that burger king and Qdoba have all ready implemented. I really believe if we make meatless meat more available we can shift the demand off of primarily beef to move away from grazing cattle. I want to write letters to a few places like Howes, Taco Bell, McDonalds, etc. to encourage them to implement impossible meat into their menus to be more inclusive towards vegetarians.

    Consider how many hours of sleep you get now. How would you like to shift your sleep patterns? What are you finding works for you to be successful in this action?

    I would like to shift my sleeping patterns by turning off all of my deices at 11:30, a half an hour earlier than my usual. I think setting a timer to remind me its time to start shutting down for bed will help me achieve this.

    So far i have been really focused on eating all of my meals meatless and I have been pleasantly surprised at all of the alternatives available like veggie burgers and veggie chicken nuggets that full fill that meat craving I get. I think it has really helped that i have multiple friends who have been vegetarians for a long time who have given me a lot of good tips.
