REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Use Reusable BagsWhat do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reusable one with you or aren't allowed to use the one you brought? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to create a successful habit of not using plastic bags?
Celeste Villa 5/03/2022 11:22 AMIf I have a small amount of items, I would use my hands, if not then I would use a cart. I would just leave a reusable bag in my trunk so every time I go into a store it will be right there when I need it. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity Needs Vs. WantsHow is creativity a necessary ingredient for practicing simplicity?
Celeste Villa 5/03/2022 11:20 AMIt allows us to be more open and have a more enjoyable day. Creativity helps our mind going and gives us ideas and unique ways to do things a certain way. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWater Brush My Teeth Without Running WaterWhat is the main water source in your region? If you don't know, how could you find out?
Celeste Villa 4/19/2022 5:58 PMI did not know the answer to this question, but I began to do research and turns out that it is the Colorado Aqueduct, which flows water from the Colorado River to Southern California.-

REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Use a Reusable Water BottleWhile water bottles are needed for health and safety in certain places, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. What are the barriers to you using reusable bottles and tap water instead of bottled water? How could you make this a permanent habit?
Celeste Villa 4/19/2022 5:56 PMI believe most people use bottled water because they come prefilled and ready to go. Some people need something to grab quick and move on with their day. I believe that refilling my reusable water before and after I do an activity, I would be more likely to grab that instead of bottled waters. If I were to continue to make that a continuous habit, then I would enjoy that more and save from grabbing a bottled water.-
Andres Guerrero 4/20/2022 10:27 PMHi Celeste. I think that using a reusable water bottle is an excellent habit to develop, I have been using one for years and I don't plan on ever going back to plastic bottles. What really pushed me to commit to the reusable bottle was seeing all the health issues that plague plastic bottles. Many companies put stuff like sodium in their bottles for no good reason, and the plastic of the bottle can contaminate the water inside if it is too hot. I think more people would stop drinking from plastic bottles if they knew how unhealthy they can be.

REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Spend Time OutsideRachel Carson said that we need the beauty and mysteries of the natural world for our spiritual and emotional development. Does that ring true for you? What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time indoors?
Celeste Villa 4/10/2022 1:00 PMI went on a hike to Forest Falls, and it was really beautiful. Really an enjoyable moment in nature!-
Celeste Villa 4/10/2022 1:09 PMI believe our spiritual selves can be happier outdoors more if you can allow yourself to enjoy every moment. Spending time outside is really a beautiful thing. By spending most of the time indoors, it is hard to complete things and be productive. I feel as if some individuals miss out on seeing things, or enjoying what nature has to offer.
