Sivanny Walz 10/28/2021 9:00 AMLast night for dinner I made garlic butter chicken breast, asparagus, and potatoes. I made sure to get organic ingredients. It turned out pretty good! I have been getting a lot better at turning off lights, and making it a daily habit to write down three things I am happy/ grateful for. -
Sivanny Walz 10/27/2021 9:08 AMI made my own pasta again last night. My mom and I went out to eat lunch at a restaurant in downtown that sources locally and organically. We had their quiche and it was amazing!! -
Sivanny Walz 10/25/2021 11:47 AMI decided to add "turn it off" to my list of challenges. I realize that my family tends to leave lights on when everyone has left the room, so I wanted to add this to remember to turn the lights off more. -
Sivanny Walz 10/24/2021 4:35 PMThis week I did some cooking from scratch. We have a lot of pears from our pear tree still, so I decided to make a pie from scratch. I made the pie dough with organic ingredients, and I cut up the pears and added some spices and fresh lemon zest and it came out really good! I also made some pasta and pesto from scratch. I was surprised that the pasta was actually much easier than I thought it would be, and the pesto was quick to make as well. It came out really good too!-

Sivanny Walz 10/23/2021 10:41 AMSo far in the challenge, the water ones have been easier than the food, especially since my mom is out of town. However, I went to New Seasons and they now started providing more "beyond" meats and there is a whole section in the grocery store with imitation meats in the frozen foods. I love chicken tenders, and I found some plant based ones in the frozen food section and they were pretty tasty! -
Sivanny Walz 10/22/2021 4:02 PMI have been pretty consistent with the water aspects of the challenge, such as not letting the water run while brushing my teeth and only flushing when necessary, but when it comes to the food parts, like meatless meals and organic ingredients, this week is a little trickier because my mom is out of state visiting family and she is the one that cooks. My dad and I have eaten out more this week, making the food part of the challenge a little more challenging!
