Health
Learn About Local Environmental Justice Concerns
I will spend 30 minutes researching environmental justice and environmental racism concerns in my region, who is affected by them, and local initiatives to address these concerns.
Community
Research Restorative Justice
I will spend 30 minutes learning about restorative justice and conflict resolution opportunities in my own community or state.
Transportation
Improve a Bus Stop
I will improve a bus stop in my neighborhood by posting the stop schedule, adding seating or shelter, adding art or flowers, picking up litter, or some other small improvement.
Transportation
Stay on the Ground
Instead of traveling by plane, I will find an alternative way to accomplish the goals of an upcoming trip (i.e. telepresence, vacation locally).
Waste
Go Paperless
I will reduce the amount of paper mail that I receive by 0.11lbs (0.05kg) a day or 3.3lbs (1.6kg) a month by opting into paperless billing, ending unwanted subscriptions and opting out of junk mail.

Kaleb Windom 5/01/2021 11:40 AMRestorative Justice can help us treat each other better and the planet. They can see the perspective of the victim so they have less chance of reoffending. When people do things they litter they can be shown the consequences so they will stop doing it. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Go PaperlessReducing your paper mail can reduce mental clutter as well as physical waste -- by reducing what is coming in, you can reduce what is going into the recycling bin too. How does it make you feel? What is the next step you will take to reduce your waste?

Kaleb Windom 4/17/2021 9:25 PMInstead of going out of town we stayed and did a lot of things in town. We didn't have to put a deposit down so it was easy to cancel. We did things like went to the Zoo and Grady's fun park.-

REFLECTION QUESTIONTransportation Improve a Bus StopIn what ways can you advocate for transportation systems which minimize environmental impact while also meeting human needs?
Kaleb Windom 4/17/2021 9:21 PMI went to my local bus stop and picked up any trash around it. It wasn't that much but I made a clean environment for people taki ng the bus and nearby animals.-
Janet Beach Davis 4/19/2021 9:38 PMEven just a little bit really helps. You might have influenced some one else to pick up a couple things, then someone else..... soon everything is cleaned up?
