After hosting a watch party for the movie "An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power", I learned updated information about climate change from Al Gore, which reinforced how urgent action on climate change is. It made me feel knowledgeable and empowered.

How can you express your personality, creativity, and values in ways that don't require fast fashion or buying more clothes and accessories?

Expressing your personality and creativity doesn't require purchasing new clothes or fast fashion. Participating in clothing swaps, buying second-hand clothing, or shopping from eco-friendly brands (materials that required little water and fertilizer, non-harmful dyes, etc) can allow you to be fashionable without contributing to the environmental harm caused by fast fashion.

Why do people in richer countries eat more meat than people in other places? How does eating more meat affect our planet and other people?

    Ava Wright 1/11/2021 6:31 PM
People in rich countries consume more meat than in other places because meat is expensive and cannot be afforded by all. This diet has caused the evolution of a meat industry that relies on the mass production of meat, unethical practices, and harm to the environment because transporting meat pollutes the planet. Eating a large amount of meat may have negative impacts on one's health.

Today, I texted a close friend and mentioned that I am thankful for her. This can keep me motivated to work for a better world because being surrounded by good friends makes me feel supported and uplifted.
