In fact, I would highly recommend everyone get a foldable plastic straw. I got one for Christmas and it clips right onto my key chain. That way, when I'm driving out to get coffee with friends or want to walk to Dunkin after school, it's always with me. Where I go my keys go and the straw then follows.

I even have a collection of mugs, so using a reusable one is no different. The same thing can be said for water bottles, a reusable one is much better and more practical than a single-use.

Through online school, I am able to work from home between 2-3 times a week, and more if I needed to. Besides getting more sleep from staying home, my mother does not need to waste her time or her gas in bringing me to school. The gas she is saving by not bringing me is saving the environment by not putting deadly chemicals into the atmosphere.

My family has a large composite that we have towards the back of my house by the woods. We have been composting ever since I was little, one time pumpkins plants grew in the spring where we had left an old Halloween pumpkin that fall!

I often get rides with my friends a few streets over to track practice, my house is very close to theirs so it is not a waste for them to swing by and pick me up. Much better effect on the environment than my Dad driving me to practice every day.

My screen time has been limited to around two and a half hours a day. I noticed that this helped lower the number of headaches I have and got me outside because I often chose to go for a run or read on the porch for my non-screen time activity.

I started a garden in my backyard that is about 26 square feet. Hopefully, my family and I will be able to grow our favorite foods without having to buy them at the store. This will cut down on waste because it is easily accessible and plastic because we will not be buying individually wrapped vegetables or herbs.
