It's really easy to use reusable containers instead of plastic bags or even reuse plastic bags if you already have them. reusable straws are easy to get as well. you can get them at Walmart or order lots of them on amazon. bringing your own bags to the store for things like vegetables and fruit is also a good way to reduce waste.

Today I recycled quite a bit of scratch paper instead of tossing it in the trash

One barrier is that it's just easier to grab a bottle of water instead of filling the same one over and over trying to find a fountain. To make this a permanent habit, just always carry your water bottle around with you and if it is plastic, recycle it.

I could just reuse the same straw and wash it.

I could tell teachers to make all assignments written online and printed out to be double sided that way we reduce the amont of paper used each day. 

I am not using plastic bags, instead, I'm using tupperware.

Sometimes its hard because we are young and we don't have much say in what our parents buy or if they buy bottled water but we can still use less by using a reusable bottle. I can make this a permanent habit by taking my water bottle with me as much as i can.

I could bring my water bottle with me essentially every where I go; filling it up where there are water fountains.

I am doing really well with avoiding disposable cups!
