Especially being a different and new environment compared to my hometown, seeing the different scenery and getting my face out of phone I think is great for mental health. Fresh air and natural light is I think essential for human health that is able to provide clean and fresh oxygen straight to the brain.

    Nature Join An Outdoor Project
How well do you know the area you stay in -- whether your hometown or your campus community? In what ways is a deep knowledge of your surroundings -- known as a 'sense of place' -- important to you?

I think a deep knowledge of surroundings is knowing the safe places within your town or campus. If you know a well-developed area, I'm sure there are plenty of activities to do as well routes that you can even take to get from one place to another. Sometimes it may be a longer route, but it gets your steps in and get walking for the day. I love being able to know where I'm living, especially now that I'm in a new area compared to my hometown, when people come to visit or even when people on the sidewalk ask me a question, it makes me happy when I can give direction and know what's around.

I try to make a quick easy routine that I enjoy every morning and night. It includes washing my face, brushing my teeth, and putting on my night time or morning lotion. On top of that, I try to stay active and get myself to the gym to make sure my body is able to stay healthy and also look healthy.

I switched 4 lightbulbs in my house last week, and it feels great! I want to reduce my carbon emissions by hopefully getting a new fridge considering this one is quite old and not very energy efficient

I fixed the leaky faucet in my apartment, now I am saving so much more water. I am going to also install a low flow shore head to increase my water efficiency.

    Waste Go Paperless
Reducing your paper mail can reduce mental clutter as well as physical waste -- by reducing what is coming in, you can reduce what is going into the recycling bin too. How does it make you feel? What is the next step you will take to reduce your waste?

It makes me feel great that I reduced my paper quantity. All my bills come via email now, rather than mail. My next step is to use more reusable containers rather than cardboard boxes.
