My kids love to take daily walks together around the neighborhood as a family. Last summer and fall, we spent the majority of at least one weekend day exploring a new hiking trail - I plan to pick this back up as the weather continues to improve. 

This year I plan to utilize windowsill gardens and patio containers and plant herbs and native plants/plants for pollinators in the raised beds my husband built for me. I developed a love for all things pickled during my third pregnancy. Some foods I'd like to preserve for enjoyment throughout the year will include pickled green tomatoes, pickled onions and pickled green beans. Tomatoes also grow like crazy in my backyard, so it's my goal to make and preserve tomato sauce and salsa for use later in the year.

I have the opportunity to have a pretty direct impact on this matter by proposing and supporting new product offerings which align with USBCDC's Racial Equity Agenda.
