    If anyone is looking for a zero-waste alternative for their shower routine...I recommend this shampoo bar by Bestowed Essentials. The bar comes in a metal tin for safekeeping. Super easy swap that will save a significant amount of plastic waste.

    Being quarantined has allowed me to have more time to investigate zero waste alternatives for my lifestyle. I recently switched to a shampoo bar in an attempt to reduce the amount of plastic I'm consuming. So far so great!

    I can use the sun to naturally dry my clothes instead of using electricity. Plus that means more time outside :).

    Many people say that “you can’t feed the world with just organic food.” How would you respond to that statement?

    I strongly believe we can feed the entire world with healthy and nutritious organic food...that's how it was done for centuries prior to our time. With the proper growing techniques and support from governments, we could grow enough organic food to feed everyone. It might take a little time to coordinate things in motion, but I have full faith in clean foods!

    Getting outside more and practicing mindfulness has been easier now that I am home and have more time to walk my dogs and spend time journaling.

    Now that we are home and online, I have actually found it more difficult to complete my tasks and practice sustainability. With covid 19, I feel like my plastic use has greatly increased and it's hard to not waste my time on social media. I am pushing myself in new ways to practice sustainability this week.

    I've noticed that limiting my social media has allowed me to be more productive with my time. I have also found myself out in nature more often because of the extra time I have now...more beach days and frisbee games with friends. I feel happier and more relaxed.

    Recently I've been practicing eating my meals without distractions like Hulu or Instagram. It's been a nice break from scene time and I've also felt more refreshed eating my meals with friends and just enjoying our views here on campus while we eat.
