Danielle's actions
Waste
Carry my Trash
I will carry all of my unrecyclable, non-compostable trash with me to raise my awareness of how much I send to the landfill.
Energy
Switch to Cold Water
I will switch to washing my clothes in cold water, saving up to 133 lbs of CO2 a month and 1,600 lbs of CO2 over the course of the next year.
Nature
Spend Time Outside
I will replace 30 minute(s) each day typically spent inside (computer time, watching television, etc.) with quality time outside.
Food
Reduce Animal Products
I will enjoy 1 meatless meal(s) and/or 1 vegan meal(s) each day this week.
Nature
Practice Gratitude for Earth
I will spend 30 minute(s) per day outside, practicing gratitude (prayer, meditation, journaling, etc.) for Earth and my natural surroundings.
Water
Use Reusable Bottles
I will use a reusable bottle and stop purchasing bottled water, saving 3 disposable plastic bottle(s) a day.

Exercise Daily
Exercise is a great stress blaster! I will exercise for 30 minute(s) each day.
Action Track: Building Resilience
Collect Rain Water
I will create a rain garden or bioswale or use rain barrels to collect water for outdoor watering needs.

Danielle Avanzato 4/27/2021 2:18 PMFor my Eco-Challenge I decided to commit to walking for at least 30 minutes a day as well as showing gratitude for our earth. I think it's important to spend quality time outdoors and with our earth in order to ground ourselves and show love to nature. I am also going to be using only reusable water bottles for this challenge in order to save the oceans from excessive plastic use. Water is a necessity in a human's everyday life and so by consuming plastic water bottles we are harming our earth in the process. It is also much more sustainable to use a hydro-flask or reusable water bottle in hopes to cut out plastic use altogether.
