    Waste Choose Two-Sided Printing
Choosing two-sided printing can be an easy adjustment on your computer settings. How can you help others make this same switch? Can it be encouraged company wide?

I think that this is one of the easiest ways to reduce wasted paper. There is a setting that you can choose that makes it default to double sided and in most cases this is totally fine. I hardly ever print single-sided because at my college it is actually cheaper if you print double sided. I think that we could encourage more people to do this by making it cheaper everywhere and maybe not even offering the option at certain places to print single sided because it is unnecessary.

We are encouraging our academic advising team to send electronic copies, rather than paper copies, of our spring registration confirmations.  It is a simple way to save paper in one simple step.  Students retain the information electronically and staff insure the information is shared.  We are also asking faculty to consider posting "handouts" in our Student Learning System.  We try to limit the number of paper handouts by encouraging this electronic format for teaching and learning.

    Health More Fruits and Veggies
How does eating more fruits and vegetables and less meat positively affect yourself, other people, and our planet?

I think that North America eats a lot of meat because we have become so dependent on it. When we think of "American food", we think of burgers, hot dogs, steaks, barbecuing, etc... and all of these things involve meat. I think that compared to other countries we have moved more to what is quick, easy, cheap, and convenient rather than living off the land. We also even import meat like beef from other countries where they are destroying animals natural habitats to clear room for cattle to graze. I think that this makes North
America look pretty inconsiderate of resources and preserving the Earth. I think that moving towards a more plant-based diet is definitely on the rise with the growing popularity of being vegan or vegetarian. It is becoming the new trendy and healthy lifestyle and many people are changing to this way of eating.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Choose Organic Ingredients
Many people say that “you can’t feed the world with just organic food.” How would you respond to that statement?

I think that the way we are living right now, looking at it from an agricultural business perspective I don't think that the world could survive on organic food. Unless everyone in the world started eating locally and eating only what is in season at that time of the year. This would make it so that everyone would have different diets around the world and people would not have to import and export in high amounts due to the demand everywhere that certain things aren't grown.

    Health Exercise Daily
How can you incorporate other personal values (like quality time with friends or spending time in nature) into your exercise routine?

An easy way to  incorporate quality time  with friends and family in nature all while exercising would be hiking, running on a trail in the forest or on the beach, and so much more!
